Gospel of Crust Pizza

Gospel of Crust is a pizza venture started by two friends during covid. What began as a simple hobby of trying to make pizza quickly spiraled into sourcing tomatoes, playing with dough hydration percentages, and pickling habaneros at home. The obsession had hooked both of them and began spreading to friends and family. While still at an early stage of business a unique name and branding to match, helps create a niche for this Dallas / Fort Worth local pizza pop up to carve out a name.

With a unique name like Gospel of Crust the inspiration for imagery was flooding. First taking the names of denominations for different pizzas with thinks like the Roman Catholic for a traditional margherita pizza, but further carry it to iconography. With Christianity having a rich history of icons across thousands of years and multiple denominations, taking some more famous ones and tweaking them to be pizza focused in support of a modern blackletter font, helps bring a modern twist to something with rich history.
